Position: LCDC/CI Treatment Counselor
Department: Treatment
Location: Hebbronville
Status: Part Time .

Education & Experience:

• BA in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experienced with substance abuse treatment counselor LCDC preferred, or Counselor Intern Level III or IV.
• BHIPS competent

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Ability to conduct screenings and assessments for all clients seeking substance abuse treatment.
• Ability to conduct orientation and intake to all individuals referred to the program.
• Ability to develop a treatment plan with client and family based on initial assessment.
• Ability to provide clients with individual and group counseling and case management services, as related to their ongoing needs based on their individualized treatment plan.
• Maintain up-to-date client record documentation.
• Must be familiar with community resources.
• Must be designated by TDSHS as a CI Level III, IV, or LCDC.
• Must be bi-lingual (English/Spanish) and be comfortable working in an outpatient treatment setting.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
