Location: Rio Grande City
Status: Temporally
Education & Experience:
- BA in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experienced with substance abuse treatment counselor LCDC preferred, or CI Level IV.
- BHIPS competent
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to conduct screenings and assessments for all clients seeking substance abuse treatment.
- Ability to conduct orientation and intake to all individuals referred to the program.
- Ability to develop a treatment plan with client and family based on initial assessment.
- Ability to provide clients with individual and group counseling and case management services, as related to their ongoing needs based on their individualized treatment plan.
- Maintain up-to-date client record documentation.
- Must be familiar with community resources.
- Must be designated by TDSHS as a CI Level III, IV, or LCDC.
- Must be bi-lingual (English/Spanish) and be comfortable working in an outpatient treatment setting.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic computer functions.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver license.
- Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
