Position: Chief  Financial Officer (CFO)

Department: Fiscal
Location: Laredo, Texas

Education & Experience:

      ·        Bachelor in Accounting required. MBA preferred.
·        Minimum 5-7 years of Accounting experience.
·        Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Ability to develop and maintain accounting systems.
• Ability to creates and maintains budgets
• Ability to analyze and forecast financial needs of agency.
• Able to ensure payroll is executed according to agency policies.
• Must have experience in business accounting and related standards
• Must have working knowledge of Quick Books Pro.
• Knowledge of UGMS and OMB A-110 and A-122 preferred.
• Must have excellent communication verbal and writing, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work closely with granting agencies regarding budget processes and standards.
• Ability assists in program development and grant writing.
• Must have leadership skills to work as part of management team
• Must have ability to supervise staff
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning.
•  Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and conclusions.
•  Ability to make presentations to board members.
•  Ability to work independently, be a self starter, deadline oriented
• Have high enthusiasm for the agency’s vision/mission/goals and objectives
• Have excellent computer skills.
• Other duties and responsibilities as needed for success of programs.
