STCADA strives to bring research and proven effectiveness to agency services and programs by tailoring services to confront escalating regional patterns of drug use on the Texas-Mexico border. It also promotes alcohol and substance abuse prevention and the understanding of the disease by providing education, information, counseling and referral services.
Outpatient services include:
- Substance abuse assessment, treatment and placement services.
- Youth prevention programs offered in schools and throughout the community.
- Case management and support services for HIV positive individuals
- HIV programs providing education, prevention, and intervention about the links between substance abuse and HIV / AIDS.
STCADA currently operates twelve programs and maintains offices in Laredo, Rio Bravo, Zapata, Hebbronville, Rio Grande City and Weslaco. STCADA is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.
