About Us
The South Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse is a community-based
regional outreach & referral agency providing substance
abuse prevention, intervention, education, and treatment services
to the general population of Laredo and Catchment Area 3 of
South Texas (part of Public Health Region 11).
HIV Programs
The South Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse has currently
two programs that are dedicated to bring HIV prevention and
early intervention to the communities it serves.
Youth Prevention Programs
The
program is designed to prevent and treat behavioral problems
in children grades 3-8 and is available to children as well
as their families.
Substance Abuse Programs
The TRA program targets adults (primarily
those who are indigent) and their families with substance abuse
problems. These services may include individual/group counseling
and referral to other agencis as needed.
